Directions Tip!For an easy glaze, combine powdered sugar and milk; drizzle over cookies. You will need:1 Egg. 1 Stick (1/2 cup) butter or margarine*, softened (room temperature). *Real butter works best. If using margarine, use one that contains more than 65% oil. 1. Heat oven to 350 degrees F. If necessary, soften cold butter in microwave on high power for 10-15 seconds. For best results, do not melt butter. 2. Stir together egg, butter and cookie mix until dough forms, hand kneading if necessary. Scoop dough according to desired cookie size and place 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheet. For cookie bars, press dough into lightly greased 13x9x2-inch pan. 3. Bake as directed below or until light golden brown around edges. Cool 5 minutes and remove from pan. For cookie bars, cool thoroughly before cutting. Store cooled cookies in airtight container. Yield: 18, 2 1/2-inch cookies - Dough quantity: 1 rounded tablespoon - Bake time: 10-12 minutes. Yield: 12, 3-inch cookies - Dough quantity: 2 rounded tablespoons - Bake time: 12-14 minutes. Yield: Cookie bars - Dough quantity: 13x9x2-inch pan - Bake time: 15-17 minutes.
