Delamotte Brut Rose Champagne

Short Description

It is a blend of Chardonnay de Grand Cru exclusively from Mesnil-sur-Oger and Pinot Noir from the Grands Crus exposed on the south-eastern slopes of the Montagne de Reims, in the villages of Bouzy, Ambonnay and Tours -on-Marne.

Blend: 80% Pinot Noir and 20% Chardonnay

This Champagne is an exception obtained by co-fermentation and by bleeding - even rarer.

The dress is a beautiful salmon pink color

The palate is on red fruits such as strawberries, raspberries with a very light touch of wild strawberries, a heritage of its origin from the Grands Crus of Pinot Noir.

The maceration before the bleeding of the Chardonnays gives it its scents of white flowers such as hawthorn, pomegranate or cherry blossom.

The wine goes into cellars where it will remain on the lees for three or four years before disgorging.

To be served around 12 ° C.

An aperitif wine or an afternoon wine during a surprise visit with a raspberry charlotte or at the end of dinner with a red fruit soup.

This Champagne House was created in 1760 in Reims thanks to François Delamotte, the founder, and it was his son Alexandre who bought some time later a house and cellars in Mesnil-sur-Oger, where Delamotte is still settled.

The brand and buildings were then bought in 1927 by Marie-Louise de Nonancourt, and his son Charles managed it from 1948 to 1988.

Then the House was bought in 1988 by Laurent-Perrier and was managed by Bernard de Nonancourt until 2010, date when Alexandra and Stephanie de Nonancourt carried on the family tradition to write this House’s future.
