After the sugar crystals are extracted, the dark molasses left behind is bottled without any added artificial additives. It is aromatic and slightly bitter in taste with a hint of liquorice. Molasses can be used in a variety of ways for instance for baking gingerbread and whole grain pastries and as an addition to sauces and marinades. It also tastes delicious with muesli, yoghurt, hot milk and apple sauce. Note: Foam may form on the surface when the bottle is being filled. Sugar crystals may also naturally form.
