It is produced by blending the best cognac eaux-de-vie which has been carefully selected from amongst Louis Royer's oldest stock. Its colour is incandescent gold. The perfect harmonious nose reveals aromas of vineyard blossom combined with Limousin oak and hints of vanilla and mellow rancio. Its virtility never turns into aggressiveness, which enables you to fully savour it's lingering taste and remarkable finesse. Strong aromas of crystallized orange, sun-dried apricots, blackberries, blueberries and rich lychee are followed by the delicate perfumes of acacia, mellow lilac and honeysuckle notes Joined on the palate by chocolate, toffee and vanilla notes and to conclude, mild 'cigar box' tobacco notes and a lingering 'rancio' from Charente From the Louis Royer house on the bank of the Charente River It was awarded Gold medal by San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2012 and Gold Medal by The Spirits Business Cognac Masters 2011 2015 Silver Outstanding Medal Winner - International Wine & Spirits Competition IWSC Awards Tasting Note: Great nose that shows balance of ripe fruit and dried fruits.
