Martini Rosato
Short Description
The old diary of Luigi Rossi, one of the founders of Martini & Rossi in 1863, kept the secret of this new vermouth rose, the Martini Rosato. The secrecy does not stop at this product. The master blender Beppe Musso and his colleague know the recipe only by its taste and smell, and must use it to maintain and improve the quality of Martini products. However, it is known that the Martini Rosato consists of a new arrangement of white and red wines with the typical Martini Vermouth, which has never existed before. This combination is flavoured with Malagasy cloves, Spanish pomegranates and cinnamon bark from Sri Lanka, among others.
Long Description
The bright red colour of the Martini Rosato is reminiscent of a glowing sunset. This warmth of the sun is also reflected in the aromas. Clove and nutmeg aromas unfold together with warm cinnamon notes on the palate to create a complex, intensely spicy taste experience. This is accompanied by fresh, fruity hints of pomegranate. This intensity of fine aromas is achieved through a gentle, complicated distillation process in special "Alambicco" flasks.
Created as an aperitif, the Martini Rosato is best drunk pure or on ice. In order not to mask its delicate aromas, a light summer dish such as fresh, green grilled vegetables is the best accompaniment to Martini Rosato. But of course, like its siblings, it is a perfect base for summer cocktails in which its flavour is well expressed or harmonises with the other ingredients.
