While it may not have the authentic taste of butter - it doesn't claim to have - it tastes not at all unpleasant. For those on WeightWatchers, it's almost point-free, with 2 x 5ml teaspoons coming in at 1 PP. Take note of the packaging, however. This is ONLY for spreaing and NOT for cooking. Frying with it smells most odd. I think its the water content or the way that it's emulsified or something but it really, really, just doesn't work.
