Maxime Trijol Vintage 1989 Cognac Grande Champagne
Short Description
Once again, Nature spoiled the winegrowers with this sunny late summer. During harvest, the grapes prove to be very powerful, and the wine, after alcoholic fermentation, is very rich in fragrances. Once distilled, it is a marvellous explosion.
Time did the rest since 1988, disclosing a wide range of fragrances, just like the distiller could have predicted during the distillation process of this one and only year.
The taste is smooth and oak wood is very present, with a lingering finish.
To enjoy with the best cigar of your choice.
The Trijol House is settled in the heart of the Cognac region, a few kilometres from Cognac. Part of the vineyard spreads on Grande Champagne Premier Cru territories, and is planted mainly in Ugni-Blanc.
Their first distilling still was set up in 1859 and the House is currently managed by a fifth generation, Jean-Jacques Trijol.
Truthful to its Charter, Premiers Grands Crus only selected Trijol Grande Champagne Cognacs, among the 6 from the Cognac regions, but this one is classified Premier Cru, right at the top of the Cognac quality ranking.
