Maxime Trijol Ancestral Cognac Grande Champagne
Short Description
Colour: very sustained amber going on Cuban mahogany.
To the nose: great complexity going from peach, marmalade of autumn fruits to Corsica tangerine.
To the palate: a wide range of stewed fruits. Fine expression of vanilla.
The Trijol House is settled in the heart of the Cognac region, a few kilometres from Cognac. Part of the vineyard spreads on Grande Champagne Premier Cru territories, and is planted mainly in Ugni-Blanc.
Their first distilling still was set up in 1859 and the House is currently managed by a fifth generation, Jean-Jacques Trijol.
Truthful to its Charter, Premiers Grands Crus only selected Trijol Grande Champagne Cognacs, among the 6 from the Cognac regions, but this one is classified Premier Cru, right at the top of the Cognac quality ranking.
