Francois Peyrot XO Cognac Grande Champagne
Short Description
It is a cognac made from a blend of cognacs coming exclusively from Grande Champagne, classified Premier Cru, one of the crus of the region delimited from cognac and placed at the top of the qualitative hierarchy because of its very clay-limestone terroir, a key element to obtain an optimal quality of the wines which after distillation in two stages will concentrate the aromas and the tastes. Quite an art.
Blending takes over: a second art that is all the more successful as it has been passed down from generation to generation.
The color is deep amber while, after visual analysis, the nose reveals very beautiful floral expressions. The palate is very full and rich with a very diverse palette on blond tobacco, spices such as white and gray peppers, musk and coffee / cocoa for example.
Serve at room temperature over Romeo and Juliet or Cohiba after a chocolate dessert or coffee éclairs.
It is on the property of "Bergeronettes" - a vineyard of approximately 25 hectares - that François Peyrot exercises his art which he has held for several generations.
The vineyard is located in Gondeville on the edge of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of cognac, classified at the top of the qualitative hierarchy of Cognac vintages. It has been driven by a third generation of "Peyrot" since 1893.
