Francois Peyrot VSOP Cognac Grande Champagne
Short Description
It is a cognac made from a blend of cognacs coming exclusively from Grande Champagne, classified Premier Cru, one of the crus of the delimited region of cognac and placed at the top of the qualitative hierarchy due to its very limestone terroir, an element for optimal wine quality.
The color is very light amber and the nose reveals floral scents on the first attack, followed by fragrances on spices such as white pepper to finish on leather, musk with a slight hint of coffee / cocoa.
It is a cognac to taste after a chocolate cake or coffee éclairs after lunch or dinner. Its floral expressions and length in the mouth allow it to be enjoyed in the afternoon as well, with a little Davidoff cigar.
It is on the property of "Bergeronettes" - a vineyard of approximately 25 hectares - that François Peyrot exercises his art which he has held for several generations.
The vineyard is located in Gondeville on the edge of Grande Champagne, the premier cru of cognac, classified at the top of the qualitative hierarchy of Cognac vintages. It has been driven by a third generation of "Peyrot" since 1893.
