Pierre Ferrand Selection des Anges Grande Champagne

Short Description

It is a Grande Champagne cognac classified Premier Cru of the Cognac Region.

The color is deep mahogany.

On the first nose: aromas of jasmine tea, honeysuckle and nuts followed by woody vanilla, chocolate and a hint of curry. The bouquet develops with notes of candied fruit, saffron spices, ginger and honey mixed with nutmeg and cedarwood.

The finish on the palate is very long. Admirably aged to give a wide range of flavors ranging from spring herbs to mocha, leather and musk.

Ferrand, a name attached to the land of Grande Champagne, the Premier Cru of the Cognac region, which the winegrowers of this exceptional terroir describe as loving because it is very limestone and slightly clayey, it sticks to the feet when it is traveled meter after meter during seasonal work in the vineyard.

Five generations of Pierre Ferrand have succeeded each other in this village of Angeac-Champagne which is one of the mythical villages such as Segonzac, Touzac, Verrières, Ambleville, Criteuil ... of this land of great reputation which has crossed the centuries and the oceans and which is at the origin of Cognac.
The vineyard covers just under 30 hectares.
