Short Description
This rare and exceptional cognac is a blend of 3 Vintages aged in French oak barrels, selected for their potential of flavors and fragrances and above all their great complementarity: 1989, 1991 and 1993:
1989: the year 1989 forms the basis of Multimillages n ° 7. It provides structure to the blend. A floral nose with iris then fruity with notes of quince compote. On the palate, this vintage brings slightly vanilla and woody hints.
1991: finesse and subtlety. This vintage brings roundness and delicacy with its aromatic notes of candied fruit, orange, apricot, honey and spices.
1993: power ... The 1993 vintage offers notes of citrus, then apricot, as well as a delicate woody note. The palate is powerful, notes of dried fruits, hazelnuts and honey are noticeable just like the rancio.
Brilliant color with warm yellow-orange reflections.
On the nose: very fine finesse and aromatic complexity. The attack is floral, dominated by aromas of lime blossom and dried flowers followed by fruity touches composed of fragrances of orange, dried citrus fruits such as apricot and plum d'Ente. .
On the palate, these aromas are relayed by notes of candied fruit: orange, apricot then by voluptuous notes more vanilla.
Settled in the south-west of France since 1270, the Frapin family has been a family of winegrowers, then distillers, for more than twenty generations with 240 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne area.
It is the Grande Champagne region, classified Premier Cru from the Cognac region, who became their land of choice since the family settled in the Castle of Fontpinot.
It the Frapin family tree can be found famous writer Antoine Rabelais, in the 16th century. As a nod to history, the Frapin House’s logo is the writer’s golden quill.
The wines are distilled with lees at Frapin’s. After tradition double “charentaise” distillation, the new spirits are stored for a quarter in new barrels and the rest in older red barrels.
The Frapin House elaborates a wide range of Cognac, the oldest dating back to 1888.
