Pol Roger Brut Vintage 2013 Champagne
Short Description
The cellar master, as a true alchemist, showed all his art with this Champagne : first the selection, combined with the art of blending following proportions he will keep secret.
This Champagne is a blend of 60% Pinot Noir and 40% Chardonnay from 20 plots which are classified Grand Cru and Premier Cru, from the Montagne de Reims and the prestigious Côte des Blancs.
This Champagne aged for 9 years in the cellars of the Pol Roger House.
The colour is a bright gold.
The nose is full of tenderness from the Chardonnay’s white flowers, and fragrances from the Pinot Noir’s red fruits, without any of them dominating the other, in a remarkable fading.
The taste is fresh, discreetly reminding of citrus and red berry in a rich and wide range.
To be served around 10°C, as an aperitif or with grilled fishes or shellfishes. Will also fit very well with a red fruit cake.
The first Pol Roger Champagne trade took place in January of 1848.
This prestigious Champagne House was located in Aÿ until 1851, when it settled in Epernay, still under Pol Roger’s management.
One of the few independent Houses, nowadays managed by a fifth Pol-Roger generation.
