Short Description

It is a Champagne composed of Chardonnay (52%) and Pinot Noir (48%), harvested in the famous vineyards of the largest appellation in Champagne: Grands Crus of the Côte des Blancs: Mesnil, Cramant, Oger, Chouilly and the mountain of Reims: Verzy, Verzenay, Ambonnay and Tours-sur-Marne.

The 1999 vintage is characterized by severe frosts in November (-14 ° C), winter is a combination of rain, snow and cold, but also mildness and sun. Spring, a little contrasted, ends with a beautiful flowering.

The color is bright gold.

On the nose: floral notes such as lime blossom and spring hawthorn as well as citrus notes such as lemon from Menton, pink grapefruit from Florida or even Corsican clementine.

On the palate: notes of red fruits such as Plougastel or Mara des Bois strawberries, all marked by a very long and very fresh finish.

To be served around 10/12 ° C, but not less, so as not to tarnish the richness of the exceptional aromas and flavors.

Food / wine pairing: a brilliant opportunity to introduce this exceptional Champagne with friends / family on carpaccios of smoked fish such as salmon or Auvergne trout or also on a red tuna sashimi.
