Hardy Le Printemps Lalique Cognac Grande Champagne

Short Description

This Cognac is a blend of small batches originating exclusively from Grande Champagne territories, classified Premier Cru from the Cognac region, and carefully selected by Armand Hardy in the end of the second World War.

The Crystal carafe is displayed in a cask exclusively created for the Hardy House by Lalique Paris, a famous House of crystal unique masterpieces.

The cap sculptured in crystal is almond green, a discreet reminder of the Lalique-Paris House’s creations in the beginning of the 20th century. The carafe was placed in a precious round cask made of white and pastel leather, with an opening on the front.

The colour is a magnificent amber.

To the nose: white flowers and violet, a typical trait from Grande Champagne. Musk and leather, blond tobacco, coffee and chocolate are the main perceptible fragrances in a second phase.

To the palate: smoothness and great blend with notes of underwood and fine touches of coffee and chocolate.

A house of the Second French Empire under Napoleon III based in Cognac.

It was a British man from London, Anthony Hardy, who founded this house in 1863.

In 1869 in Amsterdam, this house obtained the diploma of excellence for its fine champagne cognac (a blend of Cognac from Grande Champagne 1er cru and small champagne cognac legally classified 2nd cru with a minimum of 50% of Grand Champagne Cognac).

In 1891, in Saint Petersburg, the Hardy house received the gold medal of the alliance in tribute to Franco-Russian friendship.

Today Maison Hardy is managed by a fifth generation.
