Trace & Transfer Directions: Tips: 1. For best results, transfers should be placed on room temperature frosted cakes. The frosting should be set, not tacky. 2. Recommended using Betty Crocker; Decorating Tips to decorate (including tips #3, #5, #12, #21, and #233) . 3. Recommended using Betty Crocker; Tube Icings, knead icing tubes for 30 seconds prior to use. 4. Start icing flow on a paper towel to ensure icing is well blended. Trace Directions: 1. Cut the desired pattern out following the dotted line. This will help you center the traced pattern onto the cake when you transfer. 2. Remove cap from clear tracing gel & cut the very tip off the gel tube to create a small opening. 3. Trace the pattern with the clear tracing gel by following the black lines. Where there is a solid black dot, place a dot of gel. Transfer Directions: 1. Carefully flip the traced pattern, gel side down. Center the pattern to the cake and gently place onto frosted cake. Using your finger, gently tap along the design to transfer the gel onto the cake. 2. Carefully remove the pattern from the cake by gently lifting 1 edge and peeling the pattern off the cake. 3. Follow the detailed decorate directions for each pattern to know which color icing & tip to use. Decorate Directions: Flower: 1. Using tip #3 & purple icing, trace all gel lines. 2. Using tip #21 & purple icing, fill in the petals with stars. Tip: For directions on how to create a star pattern, refer to the inside of the Betty Crocker; Decorating tips package. 3. Using tip #12 & yellow icing, fill in the center of the flower with 1 very large dot. Tip: For extra sparkle, sprinkle sugar on top of yellow icing. 4. Create a finishing touch by adding a top & bottom star border to the cake using tip #21. Cupcake: 1. Using tip #21 & pink icing, trace the gel lines for the cupcake liner. Once outlined, fill in the cupcake liner by making several lines, starting from the bottom of the cupcake liner and stopping at the icing outline. 2. Using tip #12 & white icing, make multiple nickel sized dots within the icing gel line until you achieve your desired look. 3. For a finishing touch, sprinkle Betty Crocker; Nonpareils on top of the white icing. Butterfly: 1. Using tip #5 & black icing, trace gel lines for antenna, flight & body dots, filling in the body as you go. 2. Using tip #3 & pink icing, trace gel lines for the wings & wing dots, filling in the wings as you go. 3. Using tip #12 & green icing, fill in the wing dots. 4. Create a finishing touch by adding a top & bottom dot border to the cake using tip #12. Fish: 1. Using tip #3 & orange icing, trace gel lines for the fish, filling in mouth as you go. 2. Using tip #21 & orange icing, trace gel lines for the body stripes (continuous lines) & fill in the lines & tail (stars). Tip: For directions on how to create a star pattern, refer to the inside of the Betty Crocker; Decorating Tips package. Before moving to step #5, wash tip #21. 3. Using tip #12 & blue icing, make dots for eye & bubbles. 4. Using tip #5 & white icing, make the white eye dot. 5. Using tip #21 & yellow icing, fill in the body of the fish. 6. Create a finishing touch by adding a top & bottom shell border to the cake using tip #21. Tiara: 1. Using tip #3 & purple icing, trace all gel lines, filling in the heart, dots & diamonds as you go. 2. Using tip #21 & pink icing, fill in the tiara are around the dots & diamonds (individual stars). After the tiara is completely filled in, use tip #3 to fill in the dots & diamonds to give them more dimension. 4.
