Jiffy Pancake & Waffle MixWheat Flour, Sugar, Animal Shortening (contains One Or More Of The Following: Lard, Hydrogenated Lard, Partially Hydrogenated Lard), Buttermilk, Leavening (sodium Aluminum Phosphate, Baking Soda, Monocalcium Phosphate), Dextrose, Contains 2% Or Less Of Each Of The Following: Salt, Soy Flour, Natural & Artificial Flavor, Soy Lecithin, Partially Hydrogenated Soybean Oil, Glycerine, Carrageenan, Niacin, Reduced Iron, Thiamine Mononitrate, Riboflavin, Folic AcidBasic Directions: To Make Pancakes: 3-4 Pancakes-Mix 1/2 cup mix and 1/3 cup water* 6-8 Pancakes-Mix 1 cup mix and 3/4 cup of water* 12-16 Pancakes-Mix 2 cups mix and 1 1/2 cups of water* 18-22 Pancakes-Mix 3 cups mix and 2 1/4 cups of water* *If desired milk can be substituted for water. PREHEAT griddle to 400 degrees (if electric to 425 degrees) . Griddle is ready when small drops of water sizzle and disappear almost immediately. COMBINE mix and water in a bowl; stir until fairly smooth. For thick pancakes, add a little more mix. For thinner pancakes, add a little more water. POUR slightly less than 1/4 cup of batter for each pancake onto hot griddle (lightly grease griddle if necessary. ) Turn pancakes when tops are covered with bubbles and edges look dry. Turn only once. FOR WAFFLES To Make Waffles: 6-7 4 x3 Waffles- 1 cup of mix with 3/4 cup of water*, and 1 tbs of oil. * If desired milk can be substituted for water. PREHEAT waffle iron to 400 degrees. COMBINE pancake mix, water and oil; stir until fairly smooth. BAKE in hot waffle iron as manufacturer instructs or until steaming stops. FREEZING DIRECTIONS Place pancakes in a moisture-proof freezer bag and place in freezer. REHEATING DIRECTIONS-Microwave Oven: Remove already prepared pancakes from freezer bag stack them 3 high on a microwave-safe plate. Microwave on high for 1 1/2 minutes. Serve immediately. -Conventional Oven: Place frozen pancakes on an ungreased cookie sheet and place in a preheated 375 degree oven or toaster oven. For best results, cover tightly with foil and base 10-12 minutes or until pancakes are hot.
