As the world's largest cava producer, Freixenet relies on traditional production methods. This includes hand-picked grapes and fermentation in the bottle. Freixenet Cava is made from top wines from the three indigenous grape varieties of the Penedès wine-growing region in north-eastern Spain: Macabeo, Xarel-lo and Parellada. Since 1914, cavas have been produced at Freixenet using the elaborate method of bottle fermentation (Método Tradicional / Champagne method). The advantage of this method over mechanical methods is that both the perlage and the aroma are finer.

 

Freixenet Carta Nevada Semi Seco D. O. Cava

After at least ten months on the yeast, this traditional cava presents itself with a light yellow colour and a pleasant, finely bubbly mousseux in the glass. Freixenet Carta Nevada Semi Seco convinces with its bouquet of fine peach and subtle honey notes - a harmony of fruit and sweetness.
