Davert - Black Quinoa - 200G Black quinoa is a special type of quinoa and is only grown in small quantities in the high plains of the Andren. Quinoa and amaranth have been cultivated there for over 6000 years. In the special altitudes of the Andes hardly any other plant species thrives, therefore Quinoa is the main source of income for the people in the Andes regions next to Amaranth. Quinoa is partly harvested by hand. The plants are separated with a sickle and placed in bundles for drying.
