Mission Statement

Our vision is to stay the most customer-oriented food company in the world, to create a place where people can find and discover everything related to food, nutritional supplements and organic products, whether fresh, from the farm or directly from industrial manufacturers.
Foodporty is a leading global Software company, connecting dozens of vendors, manufacturers and customers around the world. We exist to provide business opportunities to individuals, entrepreneurs, companies and organisations of all sizes. Our brand portfolio, running under FoodPort LLC, includes the Foodporty FoodInxed and the Swiss FoodPort.ch online shop.
We are proud supporters of owners of small businesses, with and without personal websites, who use our platform to promote their offers while realizing their dreams.
Our platform currently includes our online FoodIndex foodporty.com and its localised counterpart foodport.ch, which is one of the largest and most dynamic food marketplaces for international food in Switzerland. Our services offer high quality and unique foods of all kinds and various offers to discover.
Foodporty exists to empower people and create economic opportunities. The good that is created is impact - and that is what we deliver every day. We believe that one of the most meaningful ways we can make a difference is by strengthening small businesses. We strive to help local retailers harness the power of technology and the global FoodIndex to keep their doors open, hire from their communities, live where they work, and continue to revitalize their local economies.
Foodporty never competes with vendors - we support them. We are successful when they are successful. We developed the Retail Revitalization Initiative to equip small businesses with the skills they need to grow in the global economy.
Foodporty is designed not only for vendors but also for buyers. Buyers have the opportunity to browse millions of products and find hundreds of thousands of sellers and shops nearby are free to choose the retailers and benefit from the uniform summary of these in our FoodIndex. Information about the products on offer will grow steadily. This includes nutritional values, videos, blogs and links to Wikipedia. So you are top informed with us. Should you have any questions about the products, we will help you to answer them as competently as possible.

Our leadership philosophy

Our leadership principles are not inspiring words on the wall. These principles apply. We apply them daily at Foodporty, whether we are discussing ideas for new projects, deciding on the best solution to a client's problem or other tasks. Managers start with the customer and work backwards. We work hard to earn and maintain the trust of our customers. Although executives focus their attention on the competition, we are obsessed with the customer
Leaders are owners. They think long-term and do not sacrifice long-term values for short-term results. They act on behalf of the entire company, beyond their own team, and you never say, "That's not my job".
Leaders expect and demand innovation and creativity from their teams and always find ways to simplify. They are outwardly aware, seek new ideas from everywhere and are not restricted by "not invented here". When we do new things, we accept that we can be misunderstood for long periods of time.
Leaders are often right. They have strong judgment and good instincts. They look for different perspectives and work to refute their convictions. Leaders never stop learning and always try to improve. They are curious about new opportunities and act to explore them.
Leaders raise the bar with every recruitment and promotion. They recognise exceptional talent and willingly move it throughout the organisation. Leaders develop leaders and take their role as trainers for others seriously. We work on behalf of our employees to invent mechanisms for development such as career choice.
eaders have relentlessly high standards - many people may consider these standards to be unreasonably high. Executives are constantly raising the bar and driving their teams to deliver high quality products, services and processes. Leaders ensure that defects are not put off and that problems are addressed so that they stay fixed.
Thinking small is a self-fulfilling prophecy. Leaders create and communicate a bold direction that inspires results. They think differently and look around corners for ways to serve customers.
Speed is important in business life. Many decisions and actions are reversible and do not require detailed investigation. We attach importance to taking calculated risks.
Achieve more with less. Constraints generate ingenuity, independence and inventiveness. There are no extra points for growing staff numbers, budget size or fixed expenses.
Leaders listen carefully, speak openly and treat others with respect. They are vocally self-critical, even if this is uncomfortable or embarrassing. Managers do not believe that their body or that of their team smells of perfume. They compare themselves and their teams with the best.
Leaders act at all levels, stay in touch with the details, often carry out audits and are skeptical when metrics and anecdotes differ. No task is beneath them.
Leaders are required to respectfully challenge decisions if they disagree, even if it is uncomfortable or stressful. Leaders have conviction and are persistent. They do not compromise for the sake of social cohesion. Once a decision is made, they are fully committed.
Leaders focus on the most important inputs to their organization and deliver them in the right quality and on time. Despite setbacks they face the situation and are never satisfied.
