Short Description
Extra Virgin Olive Oil Kritiki Eleones; is a unique Cretan extra virgin olive oil produced from carefully selected and traditionally cultivated olive groves in the Heraklion area. It is extracted from only one specific olive variety, the famous Koroneiki variety. The harvest of the olives is usually carried out in mid-November bearing in mind and always being careful as to not injure the tree or the fruit. Within three hours of the harvest the fruit is crushed and cold pressed leading to the extraction of the olive oil. The result of this process is a clear, golden green and completely balanced olive oil characterized by its rich and fruity flavor and low acidity. Ideally, it should be consumed raw accompanying fresh salads, fish and legumes or slightly cooked in order to intensify the flavor of your vegetables, pasta or meat.
