Fexofenadine Tabs 180MG TevaFEXOFENADINE 180mgWhy do I need this medicine.Fexofenadine helps to relieve symptoms of cold and allergy, such as runny se, itch, watery eyes and sneezing. It also helps relieve allergic skin conditions such as hives, itchy rash due to insect bites or chicken pox. Fexofenadine belongs to a group of medicines called antihistamines.How do I take this medicine.Take Fexofenadine exactly as directed by your doctor. Do t take more or less than instructed by your doctor. You may take Fexofenadine with or without food. Fexofenadine is available as a suspension (syrup) and as different types of tablets. If you have been given the suspension, shake the bottle well before taking a dose. Use the measuring spoon or cup given to measure out the dose. If you have been given the rmal or extended-release tablets, swallow the tablet whole. Do t crush or chew on the tablets. If you have been given the disintegrating tablet, place the tablet on your tongue. The tablet will quickly disintegrate. Do t bite or chew the tablet. Take the disintegrating tablet on an empty stomach. You may stop taking Fexofenadine once you feel better, unless your doctor has instructed you otherwise.When should I t use this medicine.Alert your doctor if you have glaucoma, asthma, stomach or intestinal ulcers, prostate problems or difficulty in urination. Alert your doctor if you are pregnant or breastfeeding. Do t breastfeed while you are on Fexofenadine. Do t give Fexofenadine to premature and newborn babies or children below 6 years old. Do t give Fexofenadine to any child unless advised by the child's doctor or a pharmacist. Alert your doctor if you have any heart, kidney or liver problems.What should I take te of while taking this medicine.Be sure to check with your doctor or pharmacist before giving Fexofenadine to an elderly person or a child.What side effects could I experience. Fexofenadine may cause drowsiness and dizziness. If you feel drowsy or dizzy, do t drive or take part in any activity in which you need to be alert. Fexofenadine may also cause headache, stomach discomfort, nausea, tiredness, muscle weakness and dry mouth. Alert your doctor if any of these symptoms are severe or refuse to go away.Can I take this with other medicines.Alert your doctor if you are taking any other medicines, especially those listed here: - anxiety medicines, antidepressants or sleeping pills - other medicines for allergy - TB medicine such as rifampicin Always inform your doctor and pharmacist if you are taking any other medicines, including herbal tonics, supplements and medicines that you buy without a prescription.Are there any restrictions on the type of food I can take.Avoid alcohol.How should I store this medicine.Store in a tightly closed container, in a cool, dry place away from the reach of children. For the disintegrating tablets, do t remove from the original blister package. Keep it in the original package and use once it is opened.
