Short Description

Loch Lomond 12 yo is an excellent 12 year old single malt with a deep, fruity character. It is matured in three types of casks: new bourbon casks, refill bourbon casks and re-charged bourbon casks. At the end of its maturation period, the casks are brought together under the watchful eye of Master Distiller Michael Henry to create this perfect and balanced single malt. On the nose, the Loch Lomond 12 yo smells of crisp green apple, ripe pears and refreshing citrus fruits, accompanied by notes of grain ripe for harvesting. On the palate, the Loch Lomond 12 yo convinces with flavours of blossoming orchard, ripe fruit with a hint of lemon meringue. The deep fruity character gradually gives way to a citrus note, vanilla meringue and a slight sweetness reminiscent of sponge cake. The finish is medium long with gentle wood smoke and a lingering, strong peaty note. The Loch Lomond 12 yo has won several international awards, including gold at the San Francisco World Spirits Competition 2021 and the Gold World Whisky Award 2021.
