Said the lamb as the farmer and his wife got into their pickup truck. They had on their Sunday best. He wore a new yellow straw hat, and she wore her new pink Easter bonnet with a big purple bow. Wow, don't they look nice; Look at those cool hats, too! Said the chick. Where are they going; They're headed to the big Easter parade in town, said the squirrel. I bet that's going to be fun! Wouldn't it be fun if we had an Easter parade, right here at the farm; Asked the lamb. And we can all make our own Easter bonnets and hats too! That's a great idea! Said the chick. I'll invite everybody in the hen house. Lamb, you ask the other animals on the farm, and Squirrel can ask the animals in the woods! Once everyone arrived, they all started to make Easter bonnets and hats, and each one was a perfect match for each animal: The chicks wore half eggshells with lady bugs on top. The squirrels tied acorns to their heads. The lambs and sheep made bonnets from woven grass and flowers. The cows had milk bottles balanced on their heads and the pigs wore old buckets covered in mud! When all the hats were finished and on each head, they all started to parade around the farm, singing a song that the lamb wrote especially for the occasion: Come along and join our Easter parade. Come along and see the hats that we made! This parade was a great idea, Lamb! Said the squirrel. I'm having a great time! Just then, the farmer and his wife returned from town, and couldn't believe what they saw. What is going on here; Exclaimed the farmer. Isn't this wonderful; Look at all the amazing hats, said the wife. Let's join in! They jumped out of the truck and followed along behind the chick, the squirrel, the lamb, and all the other animals. And they all sang and paraded around the barn. That's how the farmer and his wife became Easter Friends. And now you're an Easter Friend, too!
