Best known for it's resemblence to tree rings, this design is created by the unique baking method applied. Thin layers of cake batter are baked to a golden brown, then cooled. One layer after another is baked the same way until finally complete with a total of 15 layers. When this cake is sliced, the Tree Rings are visible.
