Shoprite Instant Mashed PotatoesDehydrated Idaho Potatoes (Freshness Preserved with Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bisulfite, and Citric Acid), Mono- and Diglycerides.Keep in a cool, dry place away from heat. 2 1/2-cup servings = 2/3 cup water, 1 tbsp margarine or butter, 1/8 tsp salt (optional) , 1/4 cup milk, 2/3 cup flakes; microwave cooking times: 2 - 2 1/2 min. 4 1/2-cup servings = 1 1/3 cup water, 2 tbsp margarine or butter, 1/4 tsp salt (optional), 1/2 cup milk, 1 1/3 cup flakes; microwave cooking times: 3 - 3 1/2 min. 6 1/2-cup servings = 2 cups water, 3 tbsp margarine or butter, 1/2 tsp salt (optional), 3/4 cup milk, 2 cups flakes; microwave cooking times: 4 1/2 - 5 min. Stovetop: 1. Heat water, margarine and salt to boil in saucepan; 2. Remove from heat; 3. Stir in milk and potato flakes with fork until potatoes are desired consistency. Note: For thicker potatoes, stir in additional flakes. For creamier potatoes, stir in additional milk. Microwave: 1. Combine water, margarine, salt and milk in a microwaveable bowl; 2. Stir in potato flakes just until moistened: cover; 3. Microwave on High using time on chart; 4. Stir with fork until potatoes are desired consistency. Bowl will be hot.
