E.Guigal AOC Côtes Du Rhône Vin blanc

Short Description

Guigal Cote Du Rhone White 75CL E. Guigal Eye: Yellow gold, clear and brilliant. Nose: Freshness marked by the distinctive aromas of Viognier; white flowers, apricot, acacia and white peach. Palate: Fruity with plenty of richness and body. Overall: A well-rounded wine with elegance, strength and balance. Food and wine matching: Starters, fish, asian food. Wine Enthusiast More than half of the blend is Viognier, which no doubt accounts for its dramatic aromas and flavors of exotic tropical fruit, only just reined in by more citrusy notes. It's full bodied and round in the mouth without being at all flabby, with a crisp, clean, lingering finish. Score: 91. -Joe Czerwinski, October 01, 2012. Wine Spectator A very fresh, floral style, with breezy white peach and pear notes and a juicy, green almond-tinged finish. Drink now. Score: 88. -James Molesworth, October 31, 2011. Wine Advocate The 2010 Cotes du Rhone Blanc (55% Viognier and the rest Roussanne, Marsanne, Clairette and Bourboulenc, all aged in tank) exhibits lots of exotic tropical fruits, honeyed citrus, rose petal and white peach notes. This strong effort (which still sells for a song) is drinking beautifully. Score: 88. -Robert Parker, October 2012. Category: White Wine Varietal: Viognier, Roussanne, Clairette, Marsanne, Bourboulenc Region: France > Rhone > Cotes du Rhone Producer: E. Guigal
