Hennessy Fine De Cognac
Short Description
As a permanent representative of the standard repertoire of the Hennessy cognac brand, the Hennessy Fine de Cognac is qualitatively comparable to the in-house VSOP. In contrast to the VSOP, the age of the Fine de Cognac varies enormously, in some cases by 15 years. However, the fact is that the choice of eaux-de-vies has resulted in a very light and interesting Cognac.
Long Description
The youngest distillate contained in Hennessy Fine de Cognac matured for 4 years in oak barrels. This is where the various sources coincide. However, when it comes to the oldest Eaux-de-vies of the Fine de Cognac, some speak of 25 years, but some of 10.
But whether it is 10 or 25 years, these old cognacs are the main feature that distinguishes Hennessy Fine de Cognac from VSOP. To produce these distillates, Hennessy drew from the full and used grapes from 4 different growing regions: Grande Champagne, Petite Champagne, Borderies and Fins Bois, and a total of 60 different distillates to produce Hennessy Fine de Cognac.
If one believes one or the other statement on the net, the production of Hennessy Fine de Cognac was a contract order in the early 19th century. George IV of England, then still a prince, ordered a cognac from Hennessy according to his preferences.
