Ice Impérial from Moët & Chandon as been conceived specially for serving « on the rocks » and comes with a little leaflet which explains the art of serving champagne on ice.Characterised by its intensity of fruit and its rich palate, it offers an incredible freshness right through to the finish.Moët’s Cellarmaster has chosen a majority of Pinot Noir (50%) to create the Ice Imperial blend for the structured fruit and olfactive intensity that it brings, completed by Pinot Meunier (35%) for its body and smoothness, and a touch of Chardonnay (around 15%) for a full and fresh finish.On the nose, Ice Impérial reveals a wide aromatic palette, ranging from tropical fruits (mango, guava, crystallised pineapple) to sweet spices (cinnamon, nutmeg, liquorice) finishing on lovely red fruits and a herbaceous touch of peppermint due to a finely judged dosage of liqueur.Ample and rich in the mouth, Ice Impérial attacks directly with sweet fruit recalling fruit salad and wild strawberries, with a touch of grapefruit, ginger and quinine on the bright, fresh and acidulous finish.Moët & Chandon Ice Impérial can be enjoyed with a few sprigs of mint, twists of zest from a lime or grapefruit and even a sprinkling of cardamom pods.
