Stahlbush Island Farms Curly Kale ChoppedKaleKeep frozen. Store at or below 0 degrees F (-18 degrees C) . For food safety and best quality, cook to a temperature of 160 degrees F (71 degrees C). Cooking times may vary depending on power of microwave and type of container used. To return highest quality and texture, do not overcook. How to Prepare: Stovetop: Place frozen kale into a small amount of boiling water. Cover, steam for 3 to 5 minutes or until tender. Drain and season to taste. Microwave: Place frozen kale into a covered microwave-safe dish. Add a small amount of water and cook on high for 3 to 4 minutes. Microwave heating times may vary. Drain and season to taste. Great Ways to Enjoy: Saute a little garlic in olive oil. Raise heat and add frozen kale and a 1/4 cup vegetable broth. Cover and simmer until liquid is dissolved, about 5 minutes. Season to taste. Make kale chips. Toss kale with a little olive oil and sprinkle with salt and pepper. Place kale in a single layer on a baking sheet. Bake at 300 degrees F until crisp to the touch (about 15 to 20 minutes). For a quick & healthy lunch, pair kale with Stahlbush black beans & brown rice. Microwave on high for two to three minutes.
