O'donnell's Corned Beef Brisket Flat CutBeef (Corned)* Donnell's Corned Beef Brisket Flat Cut. Spice packet enclosed. Tenderized with papain. Contains up to 35% of a solution of water, salt, sodium phosphates, sodium erythorbate, sodium nitrite, flavorings, papain. Directions Keep refrigerated. May be frozen. Boiling: Remove corned beef from package, sprinkle spices on meat if desired (spice flavor is already in the meat.) Cover meat in pot with water, cover pot, bring to a boil, turn down to simmer for about 3-4 hours or until fork tender. Turn off stove. Let meat sit in water for 15 to 20 minutes longer. Take out of pan and let cool, reserving the juice. Cut across the grain into serving sized pieces and place meat in pan or dish. Pour some juice from the pot over the cut meat. Enjoy! Slow cooker: If, using potatoes or other vegetables, put them in the bottom of the cooker. Cut brisket into like sized pieces to ensure even cooking. Place brisket on top of vegetables or in the bottom of the cooker. Add about 1-1/2 cups of water. Cover and cook on high setting for one hour. Then cook for 10 to 12 hours on low, or 5 to 6 hours on high, or until fork tender. Add cabbage wedges during the last three hours if desired. Cut across the grain into serving sized pieces. Enjoy! Oven roasting: Place corned beef on rack in pan. Add 1 inch of water in bottom of pan. Cover and cook at 350 degrees for about 3-4 hours until fork tender. If desired, make a glaze out of brown sugar, pineapple juice and gingerale. Mix together, pour over cooked corned beef and bake an additional 15 minutes, uncovered. Let cool.
