Acropolis - Extra Virgin Olive Oil The olives in this gourmet quality, first cold pressed Extra Virgin oil were hand picked from a limited harvest of a single variety of protected groves on a family estate on the sunny island of Crete (which is in the Mediterranean Sea, off Greece) , in perfect conditions to create an olive oil bursting with flavour. Although it has not been certified organic (which would add to the cost), it has been grown in an ecological farming system classified as Biodynamic Agriculture, which is an even more holistic approach. It has a very high smoking point, so is very good for cooking with (short of deep frying), and is of excellent quality for dripping on bread or dressing salads. Store in a cool, dark place.
