My spouse and I both were delighted with the moist and fruity Genoa Cake, found it densely delicious -- and one of the best fruitcakes we've eaten. I wonder why it's not listed under 'fruitcake', but am pleased to've found it at all. We each served it up in a bowl and topped it with a bit of maple syrup or apple juice -- quite festive, actually. Would be great if Sainsbury's would make the Genoa Cake twice as big. December 27, 2014 Rated 1 out of 5 by mattk Not worth the money I've had a couple of these now and both have been disappointing - the cake is so dry that it's impossible to slice without ending up with a pile of crumbs and fruit. No good for packed lunches and you end up eating it off a plate with a spoon! On the plus side, it is very fruity, but that's about the only thing going for it. Save your money.
