Rated 5 out of 5 by Earthrider A spicy treat Right lets get straight to the point, fairly hot and spicy, lots of flavour and a great tangyness that I like to experience when I eat a curry, I never expect a great deal from a ready meal and buy them rarely, some stores I wont touch them as quite frankly one store in mind their ready meals are disgusting, Salisbury's have always done fairly decent ready meals and this one I'm happy to say is a winner, I don't know about as good as a restaurant or authentic but lets put it this way, easily above a certain well know pub chains curry night meals, in comparison to that I would agree it's seems a lot more authentic than that December 17, 2014 Rated 2 out of 5 by Scampi Not authentic Jalfrezi Jalfrezi is a pretty hot dish with green chilli and peppers. This is not. Beware! It's tasty enough and spicy but Sainsbury where are the green chillies. I'm sure this was way better in the 90s. Disappointed. Lovely pieces of chicken and a sauce to really rave about. Bought on a deal it was also a good price, 2 for £6, YES! Will definitely be in my freezer regularly for that odd Take Out meal. Quickly ready in the micro or oven, a real delicious treat. Well done. We love Sainsbury's Chicken Jalfrezi. The flavour is excellent and we enjoy it with pilau rice and samosas. It is handy to keep in the freezer and very easy to cook.
