Long Description
In 1939 George VI and Queen Elizabeth were on a state visit to Canada. To honour the English royal couple, the Crown Royal was created - a soft whisky, bottled in a bottle that strongly resembles a royal crown. Until 1964, the Crown Royal could only be purchased in Canada, but since then it has conquered the world and is now one of the most famous Canadian whiskies. It is produced in the Gimli Distillery, located in the village of the same name on the shores of Lake Winnipeg in the Canadian province of Manitoba. The Crown Royal is a blended whisky and combines 50 selected distillates, all of which have been allowed to age between ten and 30 years.
