Jean-Luc Pasquet L'Organic 10 Cognac Grande Champagne

Short Description

It is a Grande Champagne Cognac, classified Premier Cru, whose wines have been harvested and distilled in double heating on the terroir of Eraville, a small village nestled at the bottom of limestone slopes, one of the essential conditions of quality.

Aging in French oak barrels lasted 10 years to reach this exceptional level.

The vineyard, mainly planted with Ugni Blanc grapes with a few ares of Folle Blanche, is cultivated according to organic farming regulations.

The dress is Cuban light mahogany

On the nose and on the palate: wide aromatic palette on white flowers such as spring hawthorn or linden with a little violet stalk followed by more structured aromas and flavors such as cinnamon, spices (white and gray peppers), ginger and musk with a very nice length in the mouth on woody vanilla and mokas.

An all-round cognac, on dark chocolate cakes but also as a long drink on ice cubes or with plain or citrus sweppes.

This vineyard located in Eraville, a stone's throw from Segonzac, the capital of Grande Champagne, has its origins in 1730. The property will be passed down from generation to generation until Jean Luc Pasquet who inherits the property in 1970. It is only in 1977 that Jean Luc Pasquet began bottling his production.

The vineyard is maintained in organic farming and planted with Uni-Blanc grape variety, one of the three grape varieties of the Cognac region. This vineyard also has a few feet of Folle Blanche, the King grape of the Cognac region before the phylloxera crisis at the end of the 19th century. This very fragile grape variety then gave birth to eaux-de-vie of incomparable finesse and richness, both olfactory and gustatory.

The House raises several qualities of Cognacs of different ages under specific labels for each quality.
