Short Description
Château Haut-Bailly owes its name to a banker named Le Bailly who acquired it in 1630 and gave it its name
This wine is a Cru classified Pessac Léognan in red.
The vineyard spreads on about 28 hectares of an average age of 40 years and production amounts to 140 barrels per year depending on the vintages, that is to say 168.000 bottles for an average yield per hectare of 4.500 litres.
Grape varieties : Cabernet Sauvignon 65%, Merlot Noir 25 %, Cabernet Franc 10%.
The whole harvest is done by hand and the wine is matured entirely in barrels, of which 60% in new barrels, for 16 to 18 months depending on the year, before being bottled.
