Frapin Cigar Blend Cognac Grande Champagne

Short Description

A Cognac with fragrances very popular with cigar aficionados.

It is a Grande Champagne Cognac classified Premier Cru of the Cognac region which comes exclusively from the vineyard of the Frapin family, planted with Ugni-Blanc grape variety in the heart of this terroir.

Distilled on lees and then aged in Limousin oak barrels, a province renowned for its very tight-grained oaks whose toast reveals sumptuous vanilla tannins, this Cognac has complex fragrances that blend happily with the cigar leaf.

Color: The warm golden reflections give a beautiful straw yellow color which testifies to its aging in oak barrels.

On the nose: its aromas of vine blossom and linden with a touch of melted vanilla bear witness to a great aromatic richness.

On the palate: nice roundness, a wealth of flavors and a perfect balance. Length in the mouth with slightly vanilla or toast aromas. It will bring a note of freshness and originality.

To be enjoyed at room temperature either neat or on an ice cube or with a citrus fruit schweppes.

Settled in the south-west of France since 1270, the Frapin family has been a family of winegrowers, then distillers, for more than twenty generations with 240 hectares of vineyards in the Grande Champagne area.

It is the Grande Champagne region, classified Premier Cru from the Cognac region, who became their land of choice since the family settled in the Castle of Fontpinot.

It the Frapin family tree can be found famous writer Antoine Rabelais, in the 16^th century. As a nod to history, the Frapin House’s logo is the writer’s golden quill.

The wines are distilled with lees at Frapin’s. After tradition double “charentaise” distillation, the new spirits are stored for a quarter in new barrels and the rest in older red barrels.

The Frapin House elaborates a wide range of Cognac, the oldest dating back to 1888.
