Vosges Chocolate Bar
Short Description
African rooibos, dried Michigan cherries, deep milk chocolate. 45% cacao. How to enjoy an exotic candy bar: Breathe: Engage your senses. Take three deep ujjayi breaths, quiet the chattering mind and be in the present moment. See: There should be a glossy shine to the chocolate bar indicating a tight bond between the cocoa butter and the cocoa mass. Smell: Rub your thumb on the chocolate bar's surface to help release the bright cherry aromas and inhale deeply. Do you sense the undercurrent of vanilla and toasted almonds. Snap: Break the bar in two pieces. Hear a crisp, ringing pop, which indicates a well-tempered bar of chocolate. Taste: Place a small piece of chocolate on your tongue and press it to the roof of your mouth. Within thirty seconds the milk chocolate surface of the bar will begin to melt, revealing the natural sweetness of African rooibos tea amongst succulent bits of cherry. Rooibos (aspalathus linearis) is a flowering shrub that hails from the cedarberg mountain region of South Africa. Rooibos tea leaves transform from green to red during the oxidation and drying process, developing a fruity, nutty flavor (and naturally caffeine free - bonus!). We blend African Rooibos with a special fruit tea sourced from our friends at Argo Tea in Chicago. Peace, love and chocolate, Katrina.
