For a more brothlike sauce, increase hot water to 3 cups and omit milk. 3. Heat to boiling; reduce heat; cover and simmer 11 minutes, stirring occasionally. Uncover and remove from heat. (Sauce will thicken as it stands) . Microwave: 1. Crumble 1 pound lean ground beef into 3 quart microwaveable casserole. Microwave uncovered on High 3 to 5 minutes, breaking up beef after 3 minutes, until brown; drain. 2. Stir in sauce mix, 2-1/4 cups boiling water, 1 cup 2% milk, and uncooked pasta. For a more brothlike sauce, increase boiling water to 3-1/2 cups and omit milk. 3. Microwave uncovered on High 10 to 14 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes, until pasta is tender (Sauce will thicken as it stands). Dish will be hot. High Altitude (3500-6500 feet): Skillet: Increase hot water to 2-1/4 cups. For a more brothlike sauce, increase hot water to 3-1/4 cups and omit milk. Microwave: Increase boiling water to 2-1/2 cups.
