Mashed Potatoes - In an InstantDehydrated Potatoes (freshness Preserved With Sodium Acid Pyrophosphate, Sodium Bi Sulfite, And Citric Acid), Mono- And DiglyceridesPreparation: 2 - 1/2 cup servings: 2/3 cup water; 1 tbsp margarine or butter; 1/8 tsp salt (optional) ; 1/4 cup milk; 2/3 cup flakes; 2 to 2-1/2 minutes microwave cooking times. 4 - 1/2 cup servings: 1-1/3 cup water; 2 tbsp margarine or butter; 1/4 tsp salt (optional); 1/2 cup milk; 1-1/3 cup flakes; 3 to 3-1/2 minutes microwave cooking times. 6 - 1/2 cup servings mix 2 cups water; 3 tbsp margarine or butter; 1/2 tsp salt (optional); 3/4 cup milk; 2 cups flakes; 4-1/2 to 5 minutes microwave cooking times. Microwave: Combine water, margarine, salt and milk in a microwaveable bowl. Stir in potato flakes until just moistened; cover. Microwave on High using chart (above). Stir with fork until potatoes are desired consistency. Caution: Bowl will be hot. Because microwave ovens cook differently, times are approximate. Stove Top: Heat water, margarine and salt to a boil in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Stir in milk and potato flakes with a fork until potatoes are desired consistency.
