Vigo Cajun Rice Mix - JambalayaEnriched Rice (Niacin, iron (Ferric Orthophosphate), Thiamin Mononitrate, Folic Acid), Dehydrated Vegetables (Bell Peppers, Onion, Garlic, Celery), Salt. Contains 2% or Less of: Spices, Autolyzed Yeast Extract, Corn Meal, Sugar, Carmel Color, Maltodextrin, Hydrolyzed Corn Gluten, Partially Hydrogenated Cottonseed and Soybean Oil, Monosodium Glutamate, Dehydrated Chicken, Sodium Aluminosilicate (Anti-Caking Agent), Disodium Inosinate & Disodium Guanylate.Directions Stove Top: 1. In a large saucepan with tight fitting lid, bring 2-1/2 cups (20 oz) of water to a boil. If adding meat, add at this time. (For a hearty one-meal, add 12 oz of any combination of the following: sliced, smoked sausage, pre-cooked, bite-sized pieces of chicken, pork or ham, or de-veined shrimp.) 2. Add 2 tablespoons of butter (optional) then 1 package of Vigo Jambalaya Cajun Rice Mix, stirring while boiling for 1 minute. 3. Cover saucepan tightly. Reduce heat to simmer, and allow to cook undisturbed for 22-25 minutes. Remove from heat and let stand uncovered for 5 minutes. Fluff and serve. Serving Suggestions: For a hearty one-meal, add 12 oz of any combination of the following: sliced, smoked sausage, pre-cooked, bite-sized pieces of chicken, pork or ham, or de-veined shrimp. Microwave: Combine contents of this package, 2-3/4 cups hot tap water and 2 tbsp butter or margarine (optional) in a 1-1/2 quart casserole dish.
