Essential Everyday Rice White, ParboiledPARBOILED LONG GRAIN RICE ENRICHED WITH iron (FERRIC PHOSPHATE), NIACIN, THIAMINE MONONITRATE, FOLIC ACID.2 Servings: 1/ 2 cup rice, 1-1/3 cup water, 1/4 tsp salt (optional) , 1 tsp butter (or margarine), 5 minutes microwave time. 4 Servings: 1 cup rice, 2-1/4 cup water, 1/ 2 tsp salt (optional), 2 tsp butter (or margarine), 8 minutes microwave time. 6 Servings: 1-1/2 cups rice, 3- 1/3 cups water, 3/4 tsp salt (optional), 1 tbsp butter (or margarine), 10 minutes microwave time. 12 Servings: 3 cups rice, 6 cups water, 1-1/2 tsp salt (optional), 2 tbsp butter (or margarine), 15 minutes microwave time. Stovetop: 1. In 3-quart saucepan over high heat, bring water and rice to a boil; add butter and salt, if desired. 2. Reduce heat to low; cover and simmer 20-25 minutes or until all water is absorbed. 3. Remove from heat; fluff with fork before serving. Microwave Oven: 1. In a microwave-safe dish, combine water and rice; add butter and salt, if desired. 2. Cover and microwave on High (100% power) using times in table. Continue microwaving on Medium (50% power) 20 minutes (Appliances vary; adjust cooking time accordingly). 3. Remove from microwave; let stand 5 minutes and fluff with fork before serving. Tip: To retain vitamins, do not rinse rice before or drain after cooking. For firmer rice, use less water and a shorter simmer time. For softer rice, use more water and a longer simmer time.
