Mix 1 cup Hush Puppy Mix and 1/2 cup ice-cold water in medium bowl until well blended. 2. Refrigerate 10 minutes. Batter will be thick. 3. Pour vegetable oil into large skillet or deep fryer, filling no more than 1/3 full. Heat oil to 350 degrees F on medium heat. 4. Drop batter by teaspoonfuls into hot oil. Cook until hush puppies are golden brown. Drain on paper towels. Serve hot. Makes about 14 hush puppies.
