Lundberg Organic Rice Durum Wheat Pasta and Seasoning Mix Pilaf, 6 Packs of 6 Oz (total 36 Oz)Organic Parboiled White Rice, Organic Orzo Pasta (organic Durum Wheat Semolina Flour), Organic Dehydrated Vegetables [garlic Onion, Carrot (including Powder)], Organic Rice Maltodextrin, Sea Salt, Natural Chicken Type Vegetarian Powder (organic Maltodextrin, Autolyzed Yeast Extract,sea Salt), Natural Butter Type Flavor (maltodextrin, Natural Butter Type Flavor,silicon Dioxide), Organic Spices [ Basil,bay, Turmeric (color), Parsley, Celery], Organic Yeast Powder, Organic Sunflower OilCooking instructions: Stove Top: In a medium saucepan Combine 1 3/4 cups of water, rice, contents of seasoning packet, and 1 Tbsp. olive oil (optional) . Stir well and bring to a boil. Cover and reduce heat to low. Do not lift lid while cooking. Simmer for 20 minutes. Remove from heat. Let stand covered for 5 minutes. Fluff with fork and serve. Soak up the compliments. Microwave: In a microwaveable glass casserole, Combine rice, seasoning, 1 3/4 cups of water, and 1 Tbsp. of olive oil (Optional). Stir well and cover. Reduce microwave power to 70%. Cook covered for 20 minutes. Leaving the cover on, let sit for 5 minutes. Fluff with a fork and serve. *Microwave ovens may vary so adjust time and temperature accordingly Serving suggestion: For Chicken Picatta saute boneless chicken breasts, remove from skillet and keep warm. In skillet add juice of one lemon, 2 Tbsp. capers with juice, and 1/4 cup chicken broth. Simmer 2 minutes and add 2 Tbsp. butter; Stir until melted. Stir in 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley. Serve chicken breasts on a bed of prepared Original Pilaf and spoon broth mixture over all; garnish with lemon slices. Rice and orzo pasta merge with the delectable blend of onion, garlic, and carrots to create a delightful pilaf side dish. This savory blend makes the perfect accompaniment to any meal.
