Once opened reseal the bag. Cooking: Stovetop (Pilaf Method) : 1. Combine 1 cup of product and 2-1/2 cups water or broth in a 2 quart pot. Bring to a boil over high heat, reduce to low, cover and cook for 10 minutes. 2. Remove from heat and let stand for 5 minutes in covered saucepot. Drain any excess water, then fluff with a fork and season to taste. Stovetop (Alternative Pasta Method): 1. Bring a large pan of water to a boil. Add a pinch of salt if required. 2. Add the contents of the pack and simmer for 10 minutes. 3. Drain through a sieve and season to taste. Barley. Green split peas. Yellow split lentils. Excellent in a wide range of soups & casseroles.
