Short Description
Hatfield Old Fashioned SauerkrautCabbage, Water, Salt, Sodium Benzoate and Sodium Bisulfite (Preservatives) .Keep refrigerated for better product life. Heating directions: Microwave. 1. Empty contents into microwave-safe container. Cover. 2. Heat 1-2 minutes per pound. Stir and serve. Conventional. 1. Empty contents into saucepan (if needed, add water until kraut is covered) . 2. Heat to simmer. For a more tender texture and milder flavor, allow kraut to simmer for up to one hour. Serving suggestion: Sausage & sauerkraut. 4 medium potatoes, peeled and cubed. 2 tablespoons extra virgin olive oil. 1 small onion, halved and sliced. 1 pound Hatfield smoked sausage, cut into 1/4 inch pieces. 1 package (16 ounces) sauerkraut, rinsed and well drained. 1 tablespoon brown sugar. 1/4 teaspoon pepper. 1/8 teaspoon salt. In a large skillet, saut├® the potatoes in oil for 5-6 minutes or until lightly browned. Stir in onion; saute for 3-4 minutes or until tender. Add the sausage, sauerkraut, brown sugar, pepper and salt. Cook, uncovered, over medium heat for 4-5 minutes or until heated through, stirring, occasionally. Makes 4.
