El Dorado Rum 12y
Short Description
The El Dorado 12 years Special Reserve Rum from Guyana is based on molasses. For the final product several single distillates are combined, which were distilled in different distilling plants. The distillates are blended into a unique blend and bottled in the distinctive bulbous bottles with the traditional label. The El Dorado 12 years old shows fruity scents, combined with fine resin and spice tones. Its body is slightly oily and medium-heavy and on the palate the typical aromas such as cocoa and coconut, but also candied fruit and spices develop. The finish is dominated by slightly bitter, woody, sweet, warm and spicy tones. The taste of nuts resonates. Ideally this premium rum is drunk straight or on ice, but it can also be used for exclusive long drinks and cocktails.Awards of El Dorado 12 years:2010 Gold Medal & Best in its Class International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2010 Best Premium Gold Rum (over 12 years) Golden Rum Barrel Awards, London2009 Gold Medal & Best in its Class International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2008 Gold Medal & Best in its Class International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2007 Silver Medal & Best in its Class International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2006 Silver Medal & Best in its Class International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2005 Silver Medal International Wine & Spirit Competition, London2005 Top 10 ListThe New York Times - August 2005Origin: Guyana / Alc. 40% / Vol. 70cl
