Short Description
La Chinata Paprika Premium TinSmoked Paprika (sweet)The Chilis Only the finest chili peppers from the Spanish region of La Vera are used for La Chinata's paprika. The growing season for the chilies begins in mid-winter. Later in May, the plants are transplanted from their seabed to the land where they grow until the harvest. The main types of chiles are Jaranda, Jariza and Bola. The smoking When the fruit is ripe and healthy it is harvested. After the harvest, the fruit is brought from the field to smoke rooms. The chilies are smoked in the traditional way over oak. The smoking process takes about 15 days. The grinding After extensive quality checks, the smoked chillies are ground. First the chillies are cleaned, then they are ground by two large granite stones until the right consistency is reached, then they are stored for a short time to dry until they are packaged.
