Short Description

Tenuta Colombara Acquerello Organic Rice. The Rondolino family cultivates their Colombara Farm entirely by organic farming methods sowing only Carnaroli Rice. Acquerello is aged in a temperature-controlled environment then delicately transformed into millet rice using a traditional spiral screw method. Aging renders starch, proteins and vitamins less water-soluble, improving the consistency of the grains and enabling them to absorb more cooking liquid. When cooked the grains become bigger, firmer, do not stick together and taste even better. Certified Organic by Suolo E Salute S.R.L. Harvest 2005. Aged 1 year.
